Charme Bed and Breakfast in Tuscany

In the Tuscany of Leonardo: Vinci and Montalbano

In Tuscany you can appreciate Leonardo's work in his birthplace: Vinci and Montalbano!

Who has not studied the absolute genius of Leonardo da Vinci in the history books?
Of course, everyone knows him, but in Tuscany you can appreciate his work in his birthplace: Vinci and Montalbano.

The presence of Leonardo in these lands is breathed at every corner, where the renaissance atmosphere is king, but there are some places that more than others celebrate the work. The town of Vinci, nestled between hills and olive groves, houses the Leonardiano Museum where Leonardo's machines are reproduced, from those for construction, to the miltari, up to scientific instruments, all accompanied by drawings and notes written by Leonardo himself and interactive technology .
The Montalbano is a mountainous area that embraces the provinces of Pistoia, Prato and Florence, crossing several municipalities from Monsummano Terme, Larciano, Lamporecchio, up to Cerreto Guidi and Vinci.
The eye is lost through expanses of green, a varied landscape, made of woods, vineyards, olive groves and cultivated land, with the presence here and there of villas, churches, churches and small villages with typical Renaissance architecture.
The best way to appreciate this area is to drive by following the Montalbano Oil and Wine Road and then on foot, getting lost in the country lanes and discovering all those culinary products that make great the local tradition: spelled soup, pappa the tomato, black cabbage farinata, (with a good dose of local IGP extra virgin olive oil) brigidini (small sweet pods) from Lamporecchio, chocolate production, dried figs.

The area of Vinci Montalbano can be reached by train getting off at the station of Empoli, but even more easily by car. From our bed and breakfast you have to take the A11 motorway towards Florence, exit at Firenze Signa and then take the E76 highway and in just 40 minutes you reach your destination.
